Woody Go Child (real name Kwak Woo-jae) updated his status on his social media on the 4th with a handwritten letter. He stated, “I have returned from death. I have come back to ‘0’. He continued, “I need to find a place to live again and earn a living until I can share my music with the world, but having come back from death, I have nothing to fear anymore. I just feel sorry and grateful to the company and precious friends who have supported my slow, foolish, and childish 20s. I no longer care about appearances. I will show that I can start from zero. At the same time, Woody Go Child mentioned, “I’m no longer a kid, so I want to change my name, please give me some recommendations,” hinting at a name change.

Woody Go Child officially debuted in December 2017 with the release of a single album. He gained recognition by participating in Mnet's hip-hop survival program ‘Show Me the Money’ seasons 5 and 6. Since then, he has been active as an artist under H1GHR MUSIC.
