Lee Min (Lee Min-young), a member of the female duo As One, was found dead at her home on the evening of the 5th. She was 46 years old.
On the 6th, a senior official from As One's agency Brand New Music stated in a phone call with Maeil Business Star Today, "The night before, her husband returned home and found Lee Min deceased," adding, "We reported it to the police, and the cause of death is under investigation."
He continued, "As the police investigation is still ongoing, the location for the funeral has not been confirmed, but it will be arranged soon."
As One member Crystal is currently returning to Korea urgently upon hearing the news.
The shock among those around her is significant, as she had been actively participating in broadcasts until just a few months ago. Lee Min released a single titled "Happy Birthday" in June and appeared on KBS2's music variety show "Park Bo-gum's Cantabile" in May, where she made a surprise appearance as a featured artist on a new song stage with Moon Se-yoon and Hanhae.
Born in 1978, Lee Min is a second-generation Korean American and was selected by Jung Jae-yoon of Solid along with her high school friend Crystal, debuting as As One in 1999.
She gained immense popularity with several hit songs such as "I Want and I Regret," "Day by Day," and "Not at All." In 2013, she married a Korean man who is two years her senior and worked as a company employee in Hawaii.
