HYBE has launched a signal for its market expansion in Latin America.
On the 5th, HYBE Latin America announced, “We have established the label DOCEMIL Music and recently recruited Meme del Real as our first artist.”
Meme del Real is a member and producer of the legendary Mexican rock band ‘Café Tacvba.’ Café Tacvba has received numerous awards at the Latin Grammy Awards, including ‘Best Rock Song,’ ‘Best Alternative Song,’ and ‘Best Duo/Group,’ gaining recognition for both its popularity and musicality.
With the signing of this contract, Meme del Real announced the release of his new song ‘Princesa,’ marking a new beginning under the label DOCEMIL Music of HYBE Latin America. This song will be the first single from his solo debut album, set to be released at the end of this year.
Meme del Real stated, “I have considered various ways to present my music to the world, from independent releases to transitioning to a major label. In this process, I valued mutual interest and collaborative relationships. I found that with HYBE Latin America and DOCEMIL Music.”
Gah Jong-hyun, CEO of HYBE Latin America, said, “Meme del Real’s joining DOCEMIL Music proves that HYBE can support artists in Latin America and back their limitless creativity. I am very excited about the future we will create together with the artists.”
To expand its influence in Latin America, one of the fastest-growing music markets in the world, HYBE established a local corporation in 2023. Accordingly, HYBE Latin America has laid the groundwork by acquiring Exile Music, a label under Exile Content, which has been engaged in recording, music publishing, artist management, and event planning locally.
