The hit song 'APT.' by BLACKPINK's Rosé and pop star Bruno Mars has ranked 3rd on the US Billboard main singles chart, the Hot 100, for two consecutive weeks.
Billboard announced on the 3rd (local time) in a chart preview article that Rosé's 'APT.' secured the 3rd position again this week. Rosé previously reached 3rd place on the chart, breaking her own record for the highest ranking by a K-pop female artist, which was 5th, and has maintained a top 3 position for two weeks in a row, the highest rank among K-pop female artists.
Released in October last year, 'APT.' debuted at 8th on the Hot 100 immediately after its release, marking the first 'Top 10' for a K-pop female artist, and has been on the chart for 15 consecutive weeks. Notably, as many holiday songs that dominated the top spots fell out at the beginning of the new year, 'APT.' climbed the rankings and entered the upper echelon.
The song 'APT.' is inspired by the widely known 'Apartment Game' in Korea. It is a track from Rosé's solo debut album 'Rosie' and has gained global popularity with its catchy chorus, 'Apartment, apartment~.'
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK, to which Rosé belongs, is set to engage in full-group activities this year.
