The group IVE has unveiled behind-the-scenes footage of their music video for 'Rebel Heart.'
On the 18th, IVE released a behind-the-scenes video of the music video for the pre-release track 'Rebel Heart' from their third EP album 'IVE EMPATHY' through their official SNS channels.
On the first day of filming, the main character was Liz. During the shoot in a cozy room, Liz couldn't take her eyes off the guinea pig and the lizard. Liz said, "I was worried they might bite me, but I don't think they will unless I do something wrong," and she started to pet them, completing the shoot smoothly. In the evening, all the members gathered to film a complete group scene against a backdrop of white feathers falling like snow, showcasing their stunning visuals.
On the second day, the filming proceeded in the order of Gaeul, Rei, and the full group. First, Gaeul appeared in a role conveying a message in an abandoned swimming pool. With her unique styling, Gaeul showcased bold graffiti and expressive acting, finishing her shoot. Rei, who filmed in Japanese streets and on the subway, reminisced, "This is the subway I actually used when I was a student," and while focusing on the shoot, she showed her quirky charm by saying she would go eat something delicious afterward, bringing smiles.
During the evening shoot, the entire IVE gathered for the amusement park scene. An Yujin and Jang Wonyoung were excited about riding the attractions, while Liz and Leeseo appeared nervous. IVE created perfect scenes by exchanging feedback and confirming with the staff. Especially in the fireworks scene, they added a cheerful atmosphere reminiscent of high school girls on a school trip.
The last day of filming for the music video began with Leeseo announcing it. In the bicycle riding scene, Leeseo perfectly portrayed emotions ranging from anger to tears. In the evening, An Yujin and Jang Wonyoung's filming began, with An Yujin finishing her shoot with a charismatic presence. Jang Wonyoung transformed into a pure white bride, expressing hope for warmth against the backdrop of a burning playground despite the cold weather, showcasing her 'Wonyoung-like thinking.' Jang Wonyoung absorbed the director's direction immediately and reflected it in her acting, completing the shoot perfectly.
Thus, the music video for 'Rebel Heart,' capturing various aspects of IVE, garnered a hot response immediately after its release. The music video ranked first in the domestic YouTube trending videos for three consecutive days starting from the 14th, the day after its release, and continues to receive enthusiastic responses. Additionally, it recorded second place in YouTube Music Video Trending Worldwide after its release and ranked in the trending videos in 13 countries/regions and trending music in 20 countries/regions worldwide.
Meanwhile, IVE will showcase the pre-release title track 'Rebel Heart' on SBS 'Inkigayo' airing at 3:20 PM on the 19th, and they are set to officially release 'IVE EMPATHY' on February 3rd.
