Kina from the group Fifty Fifty, who had suspended activities due to health reasons, is reported to have entered a recovery stage at a normal level of condition.
According to Star Today’s report on the 26th, it has been confirmed that Kina has recovered about 80% of her health. She is currently focusing on her recovery while receiving sufficient rest and medical treatment.
According to a representative from her agency, Attract, discussions about Kina's return to activities will take place with her primary doctor at the end of this month. For now, Kina is leaning towards resuming activities through the next album.
The agency revealed that Kina complained of health deterioration after a confrontation with Anseong-il, the representative of The Givers, who was embroiled in controversy over past 'templating (pre-contact before contract expiration)' allegations. She reportedly experienced discomfort in various areas, including vomiting, hallucinations, insomnia, and anorexia.
The agency pointed out that this was a result of the 'Anseong-il trauma' and highlighted the mental damage caused.
Previously, Fifty Fifty made a comeback with their third mini-album 'Day and Night' on April 29, but Kina was unable to participate in activities due to health reasons just a week later.
Kina is determined to focus on sufficient rest and health recovery, planning to greet fans through the new album. The team is also wrapping up the 'Day and Night' activities, with the title track 'Pookie' gaining popularity by climbing the music charts. It is rumored that Fifty Fifty, centered around Kina, is putting great effort into the next album work.
The agency is reportedly in the process of collecting songs for the next album.
Fifty Fifty is a five-member girl group consisting of Kina, Moon Chanel, Yewon, Hana, and Athena. Since their debut in November 2022, they gained global popularity with their first single 'Cupid' released in February 2023. The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the U.S., reaching a peak position of 17, setting an unprecedented record. Their achievements have garnered significant attention as a girl group from a small agency.
However, during this process, allegations arose regarding the producer Anseong-il from The Givers attempting to template the members, causing significant turmoil. Ultimately, as a result of this situation, three of the four existing members, excluding Kina, left the group.
Currently, Attract is in a copyright lawsuit with producer Anseong-il regarding 'Cupid.' In the first trial, the court dismissed Attract's copyright confirmation lawsuit against The Givers, resulting in a loss. In response, Attract has appealed, stating, "We will thoroughly prepare for the next trial regarding unauthorized registration of copyright shares."
