Hollywood couple Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have finally split.
On the 26th (local time), American entertainment media TMZ and People reported, citing sources, that the two have decided to go their separate ways recently.
A close associate stated in an interview, "They have been through a lot together and have now decided to go their separate ways, but mutual respect remains," adding, "They have promised to maintain an amicable relationship for the sake of their daughter."
The two began dating after meeting for the first time at the Golden Globe Awards after-party in 2016. After going through breakups and reconciliations, they got engaged in February 2019 and were scheduled to have a wedding in Japan in June 2020. However, the wedding was canceled due to the global spread of COVID-19.
Katy Perry drew attention in March 2020 when she revealed her pregnancy through the music video for her new song "Never Worn White."
Although she did not have a wedding after giving birth to their daughter, Daisy Dove, in August of that year, she has shared happy moments of building a family. However, rumors of discord have persisted recently, and the absence of the engagement ring given by Orlando Bloom from Katy Perry's social media has fueled breakup rumors.
The two have agreed to co-parent their daughter even after the split.
Orlando Bloom has a son, Flynn Bloom, from his previous marriage to Miranda Kerr, born in 2011.
