The group 2NE1 has confirmed their return to the year-end stage after 9 years, hinting at yet another 'legendary' performance.
According to their agency YG Entertainment on the 12th, 2NE1 will perform at the '2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon' (hereafter 'Gayo Daejeon') to be held on the 25th at Incheon Inspire Arena. This will be their first appearance at the 'Gayo Daejeon' since 2014, and their first year-end stage since the '2015 MAMA' approximately 9 years ago.
2NE1's return is noteworthy as they dominated the year-end season with overwhelming scale and unique live performances. In fact, their '2015 MAMA' stage posted over 50 million views on their official YouTube channel, still regarded as a 'legendary performance' among music fans.
With their active Asia tour starting from a concert in Seoul last October, expectations are even higher. Their unchanging stage presence and explosive charisma, which captivated audiences during the 'ticketing frenzy', will once again be etched in viewers' minds through this broadcast.
What kind of performance 2NE1 will present remains shrouded in mystery. However, given their numerous hit songs that span generations and the atmosphere they are building through consecutive performances, a legendary stage worthy of the title 'K-Pop Legend Girl Group' is highly anticipated.
YG stated, "Despite the tightly packed tour schedule, the four members had a strong desire to create special memories for their fans on the occasion of their 15th anniversary," adding, "We plan to repay the love shown with the best performance, so please look forward to it."
Meanwhile, 2NE1 is currently meeting fans worldwide through their Asia tour '2024-25 2NE1 ASIA TOUR WELCOME BACK'. They are showcasing their powerful ticketing strength with sold-out shows in most locations, and will continue to heat up the excitement as they move on to Tokyo, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Ho Chi Minh City, and Macau after Manila, Jakarta, and Kobe.
