‘Trot prodigy’ Kim Yong-bin confessed that he has been suffering from depression and panic disorder.

On the 18th, the TV CHOSUN current affairs program ‘Food Guest Heo Young-man’s Baekban Gihang’ will feature the winner of ‘Mr. Trot 3’, Kim Yong-bin, and runner-up Son Bin-ah, as they head to their hometowns of Daegu and Hadong.

In a recent recording, Kim Yong-bin, known as ‘the son of Daegu’, shared that he gained popularity at a young age with his clear tone and added vocal techniques, leading to numerous event and broadcast schedules. However, unlike his promising days as a prodigy, he faced a slump after becoming an adult, which led to a suspension of his activities due to depression and panic disorder.

Despite this, he mustered great courage to participate in ‘Mr. Trot 3’, showcasing the skills he had developed as a seasoned singer. Kim Yong-bin revealed that the feedback from senior singer Jang Yoon-jung was a great comfort to him, causing him to break down in tears on the spot. It raises curiosity about the ups and downs of Kim Yong-bin's journey from a prodigy to a seasoned singer.

Meanwhile, ‘the Trot Prince of Hadong’, Son Bin-ah, entered the path of a singer after winning the grand prize at a youth Trot song festival. A special guest, Son Bin-ah's father, makes a surprise visit to the filming location to see him.

The food guest asks the father, who has believed in his son's dreams, “After 8 years since his debut, does he give you any pocket money now that he has become a popular singer?” To this, the father replies, “I haven’t really received pocket money yet, but Yong-bin should share some with me,” bringing laughter to those around.

Meanwhile, Kim Yong-bin and Son Bin-ah, who are busy with their nationwide tour concerts, are asked by the food guest, “What are the benefits of being in the TOP 2?” Kim Yong-bin shyly indicates that the prize money for the winner is 300 million won, while runner-up Son Bin-ah jokes that all he received were cosmetics and a massager, playfully asking Kim Yong-bin, “Give me some too,” which turns the filming site into a sea of laughter.

Sometimes bickering, sometimes collaborating, the official rivals and colleagues of ‘Mr. Trot 3’, Kim Yong-bin and Son Bin-ah, will share their thoughts on the conclusion of ‘Mr. Trot 3’ in the broadcast.

‘Baekban Gihang’ featuring ‘Mr. Trot 3’ TOP 2 Kim Yong-bin and Son Bin-ah will air on the 18th at 10 PM.
