The Breaking Project Camp has successfully concluded.
The 'Breaking Project Camp' was held for two days from the 4th to the 5th at the Grand Ballroom on the 11th floor of the Best Western Premier Incheon Airport Hotel.
Co-hosted by the SBS Cultural Foundation and the Korea Breaking Federation, this camp is one of the support programs for the winners of the 'Breaking Project', providing participants with various professional training programs.
The program featured Jeong Hyun-hee, who is recognized as the world's only 'Breaking Historian', delivering in-depth lectures on the history and culture of breaking. So Jae-hwan, who served as the first national coach for breaking and led the national breaking team at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games and the 2024 Paris Olympics, also participated to provide high-level practical training.
The 'Breaking Project' started in 2021 with the aim of discovering and nurturing breaking talents in South Korea, following the official adoption of breaking as a sport in the 2024 Paris Olympics. It offers benefits to outstanding winners for one year, contributing to the development of breaking culture in the country.
On August 23, the 9th Breaking Project is scheduled to be held at the Ibex Studio in Gwangmyeong City. This competition will be divided into three categories: Open, Rising Star, and Junior.
