Director Nam Dae-jung shared his thoughts on casting Cha Eun-woo in 'First Ride'.

On the morning of the 25th, a production report for the movie 'First Ride' was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Seoul. Director Nam Dae-jung and actors Kang Ha-neul, Kim Young-kwang, Kang Young-seok, and Han Sun-hwa attended. Cha Eun-woo, who worked alongside them, could not attend as he enlisted in the army on July 28.

Cha Eun-woo plays the role of 'Yun-min', a 'handsome guy' who cannot objectively view his own looks and dreams of becoming a world-class DJ, a 'room DJ'.

Director Nam Dae-jung stated, "He is diligently fulfilling his military duty for the country. The character would not have been viable without Cha Eun-woo. If he hadn't chosen to take on the role, we would have had to change the character or wait for him to be discharged to film."

He continued, "I am grateful that Cha Eun-woo's desire to try comedy acting with his friends and brothers coincided perfectly. I think it might be a blessing from our ancestors."

'First Ride' is a comedy about a group of friends who have been together for 24 years—Tae-jung (Kang Ha-neul), the one who sees the end, Do-jin (Kim Young-kwang), the cheerful one, Yun-min (Cha Eun-woo), the handsome one, Geum-bok (Kang Young-seok), the one who sleeps with his eyes open, and Ok-sim (Han Sun-hwa), the lovely one—embarking on their first overseas trip. It will be released on October 29.
