Greta Lee, the lead actress of the movie ‘Tron: Ares,’ expressed her overflowing passion by saying, “I have run well enough to compete in the Olympics.”

On the morning of the 15th, at the press screening and conference for the movie ‘Tron: Ares’ held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Seoul, Greta Lee introduced her character by saying, “I played a character who is chased after discovering an innovative code that allows a virtual being to exist permanently in reality.”

She added, “There were particularly many running scenes because I was being chased. My running skills have improved to the point where I could compete in the Olympics. I didn’t think I would run this much, but as I ran for my life, I got better,” she said humorously.

She continued, “The ‘Tron’ series is a large-scale franchise that dates back to the 1980s, and I don’t take it for granted to be part of such a film. I am grateful,” she expressed.

The film depicts an uncontrollable crisis that begins with the emergence of Ares, a highly intelligent AI weapon that crosses over from the virtual world to the real world, featuring overwhelming visual action. With the tagline, “Only 29 minutes left, they are coming across dimensions,” it foreshadows a tremendous clash between the virtual and real worlds, heightening the expectations of movie fans worldwide.

Greta Lee, who was nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama at the 81st Golden Globe Awards for her film ‘Past Lives,’ stated, “If you compare the two films, both the movie and the characters are really different.”

She explained, “The scale itself is different; while ‘Past Lives’ focused on stillness, inner emotions, and emotional acting, ‘Tron’ required a lot of physicality as a large-scale film. I was happy to be able to do a physically demanding film with a lot of stunts.”

The movie ‘Tron: Ares’ is set to be released on October 8.
