The 11th Seoul International Web Fest will be held at the Arirang Cine Center in Seongbuk-gu.
On the 3rd, Executive Committee Chairman Shin Jun-young stated, "So far, we have received over 900 international entries and over 100 domestic entries, totaling more than 1,000 works."
The submission period will continue until July 5, and the award-winning works will be announced individually in early August.
The judging criteria remain the same as last year. For web dramas, only works with three or more completed episodes will be considered, and each episode must not exceed 20 minutes. Short films and web movies can be submitted in the Shorts or Pilot categories, regardless of the number of episodes. Participation is possible regardless of whether the works are publicly available on video sites like YouTube or Naver. However, works that have already been submitted to the Seoul Web Fest are excluded.
Works selected through the competition up to the finals will be given opportunities for international exposure, such as invitations to overseas web series film festivals. The judging panel consists of various members, including filmmakers, drama directors, producers, journalists, and other professionals active in Korea and abroad.
Chairman Shin Jun-young remarked, "This year, works have been submitted from over 70 countries. The number of submissions has significantly increased compared to the last event, and the quality of the composition and direction of the works has also improved remarkably, making the judging process very challenging."
He also expressed his ambition, saying, "In its 11th year, we aim to enrich the Seoul International Web Fest further and allow people to experience global video content up close," adding, "I want to make it an event that attracts many citizens of Seoul as well as people from other regions."
The Seoul International Web Fest will take place from September 2 to 3.
