Actors Ahn Hyo-seop and Lee Min-ho have met in ‘The Reader's Point of View’.
‘The Reader's Point of View’ is a fantasy action film where the world of a novel that has been serialized for over 10 years becomes reality on the day it concludes, and the only reader, Kim Dok-ja, must survive in a destroyed world alongside the protagonist Yoo Jung-hyuk and his companions.
Ahn Hyo-seop, who plays Kim Dok-ja, and Lee Min-ho, who takes on the role of Yoo Jung-hyuk, are drawing attention with their exciting chemistry.
On the day the novel ‘Three Ways to Survive in a Destroyed World’ concludes, Kim Dok-ja cannot hide his disappointment at the ending where only the protagonist Yoo Jung-hyuk survives. The world of the novel becomes reality before the eyes of Kim Dok-ja, the only reader who knows the ending, and he meets the protagonist Yoo Jung-hyuk.
Although he faces the protagonist he has admired since his school days, Yoo Jung-hyuk, who has gone through repeated regressions, treats him with a cynical attitude. Yoo Jung-hyuk, unable to trust Kim Dok-ja, who suddenly appears and leads the story in a different direction than he knows, gives him the task of coming to Chungmuro Station alive.

In order to write a new ending where not just the protagonist survives, Kim Dok-ja must join hands with Yoo Jung-hyuk, who has become unable to trust anyone. Expectations are rising about the direction their story will take and how their chemistry will gradually unfold.
Ahn Hyo-seop shared about the relationship between Kim Dok-ja and Yoo Jung-hyuk, saying, “To Kim Dok-ja, Yoo Jung-hyuk is a symbolic figure he wanted to become, so he must have deeply supported and admired him.” However, he added, “Yoo Jung-hyuk has a rigid way of thinking developed through numerous regressions, and this is where the conflict between the two characters arises. If you watch the film with the big context of ‘What thoughts do Yoo Jung-hyuk and Kim Dok-ja have, what are they striving for, and how will they do it?’ you will be able to immerse yourself much more in the viewing experience.”
Lee Min-ho explained, “When the curious character Kim Dok-ja appears, it was very Yoo Jung-hyuk-like to put him to the test.” Regarding their relationship, he added, “Yoo Jung-hyuk becomes intrigued by Kim Dok-ja as he navigates this world, and the two develop a unique relationship where they watch over each other.”
‘The Reader's Point of View’ will be available in theaters nationwide on the 23rd.
