‘How to Train Your Dragon’ has firmly secured the weekday throne.

According to the integrated computer network of movie ticket sales by the Korean Film Council on the 25th, ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ (directed by Dean DeBlois) attracted 24,376 viewers the previous day, taking first place. The cumulative audience number is 1,332,582.

Released on the 6th, ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ is a live-action adaptation of the animated film of the same name released in 2010, telling the story of a boy named Hiccup (played by Mason Thames) who is not recognized due to his Viking-like appearance and personality, and the legendary dragon Toothless, who changes the world. It has gained popularity by ranking first in the weekend box office for three consecutive weeks since its release.

Second place is taken by ‘High Five’ (directed by Kang Hyung-cheol). It attracted 17,920 viewers, recording a cumulative audience of over 1.76 million.

Released on the 30th of last month, ‘High Five’ is a comic action film about five individuals who accidentally gain different superpowers through organ transplants and their encounters with those who seek their abilities. Third place is ‘Elio’ (directed by Madeline Sharafian, Domie Shi, Adrian Molina). During the same period, it gathered over 15,000 viewers, recording a cumulative audience of 289,000.

Released on the 18th, ‘Elio’ is an emotional adventure film about a lonely boy named Elio who feels alone on Earth and is suddenly summoned to space, where he meets a special friend. With its unique imagination, relatable story, and timely message, it offers warmth and inspiration hotter than the summer heat in a time when connection is yearned for.

Fourth place is the film ‘28 Years Later’ (directed by Danny Boyle). It attracted 15,000 viewers, with a cumulative audience of 267,758.

‘28 Years Later’ depicts the extreme fear experienced by a boy named Spike, born on ‘Holy Island’ where some survivors live in complete isolation after a virus began to consume the world 28 years ago, as he leaves the island for the first time and encounters evolved infected individuals on the virus-ravaged mainland. It is a sequel to the film ‘28 Days Later’ released in 2002.

As of 8 AM today, the real-time reservation rate is led by ‘F1 The Movie’ starring Brad Pitt (37.5%). Following it are ‘Noise’, ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, and ‘Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind’ in order.
