Actress Chae Si-ra (57) revealed that she has never been on a diet in her life, sparking envy.
The episode of Channel A’s ‘Close Friends Documentary - Four-Person Dining Table’ aired on the 23rd, featuring creative director Jung Gu-ho, along with close friends actress Chae Si-ra and Jung Kyung-soon, with broadcaster Park Kyung-rim joining as the MC for the first time.
On this day, Jung Gu-ho expressed envy towards Chae Si-ra, saying, “In fact, Chae Si-ra doesn’t gain weight. She eats several times but doesn’t gain weight. She has never been on a diet her whole life.”
Park Kyung-rim was surprised, stating, “This is the most shocking thing I’ve heard today,” while Jung Gu-ho added, “When I first suggested dancing to Chae Si-ra, I told her, ‘You need to eat more,’ ‘You need to gain weight,’ and ‘You shouldn’t diet because you need stamina.’ I told her to eat a lot of pork belly and duck meat every day, but she really doesn’t gain weight.”
Park Kyung-rim asked Chae Si-ra, “Have you never gained weight in your life? Is your stomach straight?” and Jung Kyung-soon also expressed her surprise, saying, “You usually gain weight during menopause.”
Chae Si-ra shyly responded, “Both my parents are quite slim,” adding, “I think my eating habits are well established. I’ve never suddenly stopped eating, and I have a good constitution (that I inherited).”
She continued, “Before going into the performance, Jung Gu-ho was worried because he knew I have a constitution that doesn’t gain weight. I followed his tips and ate pork and duck meat with the fat for three consecutive days. I also ate rice. I successfully gained 2 kg that way.”
Additionally, she mentioned, “What I eat gets used up quickly, so if I’m hungry again, I eat more.” Jung Gu-ho expressed his envy again, saying, “If I eat every time I’m hungry, I think it would be a big problem for me.”
Chae Si-ra, who has gained attention for achieving her dream of becoming a dancer at a late age, recently appeared in the traditional performance ‘Dan-sim.’
