
Having reclaimed its throne, 'High Five' has firmly grasped the box office momentum.
According to the integrated computer network of movie ticket sales by the Korean Film Council on the 13th, the film 'High Five' (directed by Kang Hyung-cheol) attracted 32,186 viewers the previous day, bringing its cumulative audience to 1,275,031.
Released on the 30th of last month, 'High Five' is a comic action film about five individuals who accidentally gain different superpowers through organ transplants and their encounters with those who seek to exploit their abilities. Actors Lee Jae-in, Ahn Jae-hong, Ra Mi-ran, Kim Hee-won, Oh Jung-se, and Park Jin-young collaborated on this project. The break-even point is approximately 2.9 million.
In second place is 'How to Train Your Dragon' (directed by Dean DeBlois), which attracted 27,116 viewers the previous day, with a cumulative audience of 658,864.
'How to Train Your Dragon' is a live-action adaptation of the animated film of the same name released in 2010, telling the story of Hiccup (played by Mason Thames), a boy who is not recognized due to his un-Viking-like appearance and personality, and the legendary dragon Toothless, as they change the world.
In third place is 'Shin Myung', which gathered 17,544 viewers, bringing its cumulative audience to 466,809.
'Shin Myung' is South Korea's first occult political thriller, depicting the story of a woman, Yoon Ji-hee (played by Kim Gyu-ri), who seeks power through mysterious forces, and a journalist tracking the enormous truth hidden behind her. It is inspired by former President Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife Kim Geon-hee. It has already surpassed the break-even point.
Fourth place goes to 'Mission: Impossible - Final Reckoning' (directed by Christopher McQuarrie), which attracted over 15,000 viewers, with a cumulative audience of over 3,066,000.
Released on the 17th of last month, 'Mission: Impossible - Final Reckoning' depicts Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the IMF team members who, faced with a life-threatening crisis that threatens all of humanity, dive into a single mission where every choice is a matter of life and death.
As of 8:35 AM today, the real-time reservation rate leader is 'How to Train Your Dragon', with a reservation rate of 29.2% and over 66,000 tickets sold. Following it are 'High Five' and 'F1 The Movie'.
