A quietly impactful film that will linger in the hearts of audiences is coming to theaters this May. It is 'Pieces of Memory' (directed by Lee Kwang-bok).

On the 9th, the team behind 'Pieces of Memory' announced, "The film is confirmed to be released on May 29," and added, "Ahead of the release, a press and VIP screening will be held at Megabox COEX on the 15th."

The film tells the story of 'Kang-jun', a painter who cannot draw portraits due to face blindness, and 'Ji-eun', a singer-songwriter who wants to create her own songs but cannot write lyrics, as they heal the pain of love and separation through music and art.

This is the feature debut of director Lee Kwang-bok, who has built a reputation for his sensuous direction in music videos, commercials, dramas, and variety shows. In this work, the director captures moments of life with a minimalistic approach that does not exaggerate emotions but makes the audience 'feel' them.

The two main characters, 'Kang-jun' and 'Ji-eun', are played by actors Baek Jae-woo and Park Seung-yeon, respectively.

Baek Jae-woo, who plays 'Kang-jun', is a graduate of the Korea National University of Arts and gained attention for his delicate and profound acting in the 2021 tvN drama 'Mouse'. Park Seung-yeon, who plays 'Ji-eun', has showcased her clear and warm presence in the KBS2 drama 'Police Class' and various web dramas. Park Cheol-min plays 'Kang-jun's father, adding a heavy rhythm and warm warmth to the work.

Without flashy visuals or sensational developments, the film is expected to leave a lingering impression and deep aftertaste. It delicately touches on the quiet pieces of memory of 'that person' that remain in everyone.

Director Lee Kwang-bok stated, "'Pieces of Memory' is a film that brings out a piece of emotion that remains in everyone's heart," and expressed his hope that it will become a piece that will be remembered for a long time in each audience's life.

Releasing on the 29th.
