‘Mickey 17’ has reclaimed the box office throne after a close battle with ‘Attack on Titan: The Final Season - The Last Attack’.
According to the integrated computer network of the Korean Film Council on the 25th, ‘Mickey 17’ (directed by Bong Joon-ho) attracted 12,235 viewers, bringing its total audience to 2,872,278.
Following closely is ‘Attack on Titan: The Final Season - The Last Attack’ (directed by Yuichiro Hayashi), which drew 12,135 viewers on the same day, resulting in a cumulative audience of 420,943.
The film is a theatrical conclusion to the popular anime series ‘Attack on Titan’ and has become the highest-grossing film among those exclusively screened at Megabox.
Starring Kang Ha-neul, ‘Streaming’ (directed by Jo Jang-ho) maintained its 3rd place. Disney's musical film ‘Snow White’ (directed by Marc Webb) is in 4th place, with cumulative audiences of approximately 91,000 and 138,000, respectively.
Meanwhile, as of 8 AM on the same day, ‘Victory’ (directed by Kim Hyung-joo) topped the real-time advance ticket sales with over 73,000 pre-sold tickets and a booking rate of 29.8%. ‘Victory’ tells the story of Korea's top Go legend Cho Hun-hyun (played by Lee Byung-hun) who, after losing a match against his disciple, challenges himself to reach the top once again with his innate competitive spirit, and it is set to launch today.
