Jin Seoyeon expressed her feelings about winning an award at the Berlin Film Festival for “It’s Okay, It’s Okay, It’s Okay.”
On the afternoon of the 18th, a screening and press conference for the film “It’s Okay, It’s Okay, It’s Okay” was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Seoul. Director Kim Hye-young and actors Lee Rae, Jin Seoyeon, and Jeong Soobin attended.
“It’s Okay, It’s Okay, It’s Okay” won the Crystal Bear for Generation K Plus at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, making it the first Korean film to do so.
Jin Seoyeon said, “I never expected to win. At that time, the distribution was not even decided, so after the theater screening, I would just wear a dress, take a taxi home, and it was a tough environment. At that time, Lee Rae was a minor, so she couldn’t drink, and we talked about wanting to eat pho together and win an award, and now we have received one.”
She also mentioned, “Before that, when I saw the atmosphere at the Busan International Film Festival, I thought it would be well-received, but the reaction was so good that it was beyond my imagination. I wanted to burst with joy here. I came with gratitude for the unexpected reaction. I’m thankful that the distribution has been confirmed and that we are able to screen the film.”
“It’s Okay, It’s Okay, It’s Okay!” is a story about people who are clumsy alone but okay together, as they seek each other's happiness, and it will be released on the 26th.
