Hyun Bin, who stars in ‘Harbin,’ shared his thoughts on portraying Ahn Jung-geun.
On the afternoon of the 18th, a screening and press conference for the film ‘Harbin’ was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Seoul. Director Woo Min-ho and actors Hyun Bin, Jo Woo-jin, Jeon Yeo-bin, Park Hoon, Yoo Jae-myung, and Lee Dong-wook attended.
Hyun Bin stated, “I felt like there was nothing I could do. As I looked for what I could do, I researched the remaining materials on Ahn Jung-geun and visited the Ahn Jung-geun Memorial Hall to trace his footsteps, study, and imagine.”
He also mentioned, “Throughout the preparation, there hasn’t been a day when I didn’t engage in that process until the end. I imagined and researched every day. The images of his past actions are all documented in writing, and I imagined from there, discussing with the director and repeating the process of creating.”
‘Harbin’ depicts the intense pursuit and suspicion between those heading to Harbin for a single purpose and those chasing them in 1909. It will be released on the 24th.
