Yoo Jae-suk and Haha were eager for camera close-ups throughout the shoot.
The MBC entertainment program ‘What Do You Do When You Play?’ (directed by Kim Jin-yong, Jang Woo-sung, Jang Hyo-jong, Wang Jong-seok, written by Choi Hye-jung) aired on the afternoon of the 12th, themed ‘Caught a Lot’.
In this episode, the production team announced, “We are going to catch seasonal squid. We have invited someone who can cook it deliciously,” introducing comedian Lim Woo-il as a guest. On the way to the destination, the members discovered a convenience store and decided to buy snacks to fill their stomachs, with Park Jin-joo, who lost in rock-paper-scissors, paying 140,000 won.
When Yoo Jae-suk said, “I think we need to get some water,” Lim Woo-il immediately replied, “Give it to me,” heading to the convenience store and making everyone laugh. Yoo Jae-suk hinted, “Woo-il is my direct junior. But why does the water feel so lukewarm?” to which Lim Woo-il awkwardly responded, “You said to be comfortable.”
Yoo Jae-suk said, “Woo-il, you eat this ramen,” but Woo-il replied, “I have to get the water,” and ran to the convenience store again. He started eating as soon as he got the water, saying, “I’m anxious... I’m afraid we might move suddenly,” while Yoo Jae-suk hinted, “Let’s go now. We have to go. Because of the tide! If Woo-il eats it all.”
Afterward, the members headed to the dock. Yoo Jae-suk asked Lim Woo-il, “Did your mother enjoy seeing you on the show?” and Woo-il replied, “My mother said I looked too much like a grandmother, so I said, ‘What can I do if I look like a grandmother?’ But she said I looked like a pretty grandmother,” making everyone laugh.
The team of Joo Woo-jae, Lee Yi-kyung, and Park Jin-joo checked if there were squids inside the shells. At that moment, Lee Yi-kyung exclaimed, “I got a big one!” and the members continued to catch squids without a break.
Meanwhile, Yoo Jae-suk's team, having not caught a single squid, couldn’t believe the reality, saying, “Why haven’t we caught even one?” The captain then suggested, “Let’s move to another spot,” relocating to an area with less current.
As soon as they moved, Yoo Jae-suk exclaimed, “It’s the treasure of the sea!” and celebrated being the first to catch a squid. He began to ignore the members, saying, “You newbies just relax and eat snacks. I feel good!”
As Yoo Jae-suk caught squids alone, Haha stood in front of him. When Yoo Jae-suk expressed his displeasure, saying, “What are you doing? This friend has a big desire for the camera,” Haha retorted, “I was at the back. We should take turns.” Lim Woo-il, watching, exclaimed, “Isn’t it time for both of you to let go? How tightly are you holding on? Open your fists! I’m getting dizzy just looking at the shells and the line,” causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Yoo Jae-suk then said, “Woo-il, you try it once. Your back looks like someone who has been on a boat for a long time,” and Woo-il also caught his first squid.
After finishing the squid catching, Haha asked, “Why does someone who does a lot of broadcasts have such a desire for the camera? If the squid is in front, you can just pass it back,” questioning Yoo Jae-suk again. Lim Woo-il also agreed, saying, “I was at the back and almost fell into the water.”
When Yoo Jae-suk said, “It would be nice if an expert could cook the squid,” the production team asked, “Do you prefer Chinese or Japanese cuisine?”
While the members were heading to cook the squid, chefs Lee Yeon-bok and Jung Ho-young appeared. Yoo Jae-suk smiled and said, “I feel so reassured. We caught a lot of squid. What kind of dish will you make with the squid?” to which Lee Yeon-bok replied, “We will make spicy squid,” and Jung Ho-young added, “Squid shabu-shabu.”
While the chefs were cooking, Yoo Jae-suk, Lee Yi-kyung, Lee Mi-joo, and Park Jin-joo from Lee Yeon-bok's team cheered, “Jjamppong! Jjamppong!” Hearing this, Jung Ho-young was flustered, saying, “The chef asked to borrow some noodles, but is that what you’re going to do?” Haha then said, “Hey, go get it. Tell Yoo Jae-suk to come and say ‘thank you’,” to which Lim Woo-il replied, “The chef is asking for the noodles he borrowed, right? If you’re not going to give it, you should bow and leave.”
Yoo Jae-suk then went to Jung Ho-young's team. However, when Haha, Joo Woo-jae, and Lim Woo-il also tried to greet him, Yoo Jae-suk expressed his displeasure, saying, “Why are you all trying to greet him?” He then attacked, saying, “These kids are nice, but their basic manners are a bit...” Haha responded, “What? How many kids do you have? I have three.”
Yoo Jae-suk countered, “How old is your oldest?” and Haha followed up, “What year were you born, father?” Lim Woo-il shouted, “My father was born in 1937. My mother is a fast 50!” causing everyone to burst into laughter.
While Lee Yeon-bok was finishing the spicy squid jjamppong, Jung Ho-young said, “First, I will cook the rice,” adding rice to the pot. He brought a golden pot and said, “I will grill this and put it on top of the rice. I think we need some rice. I made a seasoning sauce with wild chives, so you can mix it with the rice. I will also make squid skewers,” revealing the special menu.
Before long, all the dishes were completed, and the members gathered to eat. After tasting the spicy squid jjamppong, Yoo Jae-suk exclaimed, “It’s so delicious!” and Joo Woo-jae also acknowledged, “The master is different.”
After tasting the golden pot rice and squid shabu-shabu, Haha said, “It’s okay without wild chives. Seasonal food is the best,” enjoying the meal.
