Se Hee-je (Hsu Hsi-ti), the sister-in-law of Gu Jun-yeop from the group Clon, expressed her longing for her sister with tears at an official event after 8 months.
Se Hee-je appeared at the 60th Golden Bell Awards on the 17th. It was her first public appearance since the sudden death of her sister, Se Hyi-won (Hsu Hsi-yuan), in February.
After winning the award for Best Variety Show Host, Se Hee-je said, "I believe my sister would have wanted me to be here today," and added, "I hope this trophy fills the void in my mother's heart."
She also expressed her affection for her mother, who has repeatedly voiced her mental anguish, saying, "Even though my sister is not here, I am."
Meeting with reporters backstage, Se Hee-je pointed to the necklace she was wearing and said, "This is a necklace containing a part of my sister," revealing her 'memorial necklace' and drawing attention by stating, "I wear it when I miss her."
Se Hee-je announced that she would donate the entire prize money she received that day to Hualien, expressing her desire to contribute to society.
In February, Gu Jun-yeop's wife and Se Hee-je's sister, the late Se Hyi-won, suddenly passed away from acute pneumonia while on a trip to Japan.
Gu Jun-yeop is currently reported to have suspended all activities and has been keeping vigil at the grave where Se Hyi-won is resting for several months.
