Announcer Kim Su-ji has completed her last broadcast on ‘MBC News Desk’.
On the 10th, Kim Su-ji shared several photos of the closing of ‘MBC News Desk’ and during the news broadcast on her Instagram.
Kim Su-ji joked, “Today’s news seems to have shocked everyone more due to the height difference with my senior than the fact that I am going on maternity leave.”
She continued, “From the end of last year to this spring, it was a time when everyone was overwhelmed just handling the flood of news, but I was able to work with a lot of consideration. The four months of maternity leave is also possible thanks to that consideration. I am trying not to take anything for granted and am keeping my head up. I will learn well in the new world I will face and return strong. Thank you so much for your support.”
Earlier that day, announcer Jo Hyun-yong announced on ‘News Desk’, “Kim Su-ji, who has been co-hosting the news, will go on leave next week for childbirth.”
In response, Kim Su-ji said, “Thanks to the warm gaze of our viewers, I was able to courageously present the news until today, just five nights before giving birth. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who is being considerate and sometimes making sacrifices for pregnant women and the child to be born. I will return in four months in good health.”
Kim Su-ji married singer Han Gi-joo in 2022.
