Actor Lee Kwang-soo revealed that he had no income due to a faulty contract with his former agency.
On the 14th, a video titled “The Birthday Party is an Excuse” was released on the YouTube channel ‘Tteun Tteun’. On this day, a birthday party was held for Yoo Jae-suk, attended by close friends Ji Suk-jin, Lee Kwang-soo, and Yang Se-chan.
Recalling his early debut days, Lee Kwang-soo said, “I gave almost all my income to the company because I signed a bad contract. I had no earnings. The contract was wrong. I had no income at all,” evoking sympathy.
Being a newcomer, he didn’t think to scrutinize the contract carefully. Lee Kwang-soo explained, “I wanted to make a good impression on the company. I was worried that if I didn’t sign right away, it would look bad. They told me to sign, so I did,” which drew sympathy.
In response, Ji Suk-jin mentioned the agency's perspective, saying, “You might not have had anything to take,” suggesting that the settlement might not have been wrong, which elicited laughter.
Despite appearing in the hit production ‘High Kick Through the Roof’ that made him famous, Lee Kwang-soo stated that he received almost no settlement. He reacted to Ji Suk-jin's blunt remarks, saying, “Why are you doing this? Why are you making me feel this way? Why are you touching on my painful wounds? I spoke about it with difficulty, and you can’t empathize?”
Yoo Jae-suk asked, “Did the company provide you with a house?” and Lee Kwang-soo explained that he received none of the basic provisions that an agency typically offers, such as a house, a car, or a manager to manage his schedule. Ji Suk-jin expressed anger at the unfair contract at the time, exclaiming, “What did that company do for you?”
