
MBC anchor Kim Soo-ji is leaving 'News Desk' for maternity leave.
On the afternoon of the 10th, the last greeting of anchor Kim Soo-ji, who is going on maternity leave, was broadcast on MBC's news program 'News Desk'.
On this day, anchor Jo Hyun-yong said, "Anchor Kim Soo-ji, who has been presenting the news together in various urgent situations, will go on leave next week for childbirth."
Anchor Kim Soo-ji expressed, "Thanks to the warm gaze of our viewers, I have been able to courageously present the news until today, just five nights before giving birth," and added, "I would like to thank everyone who is caring a little more and sometimes making sacrifices for pregnant women and the child that will be born."
She then added, "I will return in four months in good health."
Kim Soo-ji has been active as a news desk anchor since April 2024 and is expected to return to her anchor position after giving birth.
Recently, she appeared on 'Radio Star' and stated, "I am going on a four-month maternity leave. It makes me feel at ease knowing that I will be returning to the newsroom. I had a firm intention not to replace the anchor due to childbirth."
