CJ CGV will temporarily close all locations for one day on the 14th.
On the 1st, CJ CGV announced this news, adding that it is a measure due to "next-generation system migration work."
The next-generation system being introduced by CGV aims to simplify the movie reservation process and includes reservations for climbing gym 'Pickers', comic cafe 'Roll Roll', and immersive game 'Mission Break' through the CGV app.
A new feature called 'Cine Talk' will also be introduced, allowing audiences to write reviews and share various opinions related to movies. It plans to provide reliable movie information in collaboration with film production and distribution companies.
In addition, a strengthened firewall has been built to enhance the level of customer information protection compared to the existing system.
Users wishing to use the new system-based CGV will need to download the new mobile app starting at 8 AM on the 15th.
CGV stated, "This is an important turning point in redesigning the overall content consumption experience for customers and upgrading the theater operating system," and added, "We will respond to the changing environment with a more sophisticated and faster operating system."
