Actress Lee Min-jung disclosed that her biological sister passed away before her.

On September 30, a video titled "Lee Min-jung's family home invasion. I was going on a date after a long time, but my son and dad came along" was released on Lee Min-jung's YouTube channel.

On that day, Lee Min-jung went out to eat with her mother. Lee Min-jung's mother mentioned that Lee Min-jung used to be picky with food, saying, "She didn't even eat fruits. She ate a green apple and had an allergic reaction. After that, she didn't eat apples or cucumbers. She didn't eat vegetables well."

Lee Min-jung explained, "When I ate a green apple, it made my ears itchy. My throat was itchy too. It was an allergy, and if I kept eating it, my airway could get blocked," clarifying that it wasn't just being picky but was for health reasons. However, her mother firmly added, "Anyway, she was quite picky."

The production team asked, "Do you have any allergies?" and her mother replied, "I developed rhinitis after giving birth to the kids. I sneeze when I’m exposed to cold air." She then corrected herself, saying, "I had that while raising three kids... No, while raising two kids."

To this, Lee Min-jung said, "You can say there were three. One passed away before I was born."

Her mother had given birth to a daughter before Lee Min-jung but had to let her go. She explained, "She got a vaccination and had a fever, and then she passed away. After that, whenever the kids got sick, I developed neurosis; even a little sickness felt like a big deal. So I couldn't feed them well. I was worried about 'what if they get sick.' I thought about how to handle it if they were even a little sick."

Lee Min-jung said, "I didn't know that when I was young. When I got vaccinated, my mom would tremble and cry. I wondered, 'Why is my mom crying when I'm getting a shot?'" She revealed, "I found out in high school that my sister had passed away. I saw a photo of my mom holding a baby girl, and it wasn't me. So I thought, 'Could it be that my mom remarried?'"

She added, "That's something you really bury in your heart," showing understanding of her mother's feelings for having lost a child.
