Ahn Yoo-sung has reunited with his first teacher.
On the afternoon of the 7th, during the KBS2 entertainment program 'Sajangnim Gwi-neun Dangnagi Gwi' (hereinafter 'Sajangnim Gwi'), Ahn Yoo-sung prepared eel dishes to celebrate the day he reunited with the teacher who guided him on the path of sushi.
When the teacher appeared on the show, Ahn Yoo-sung introduced him to the staff, saying, "He is my first teacher who made me who I am today."
After tasting the eel shabu-shabu prepared by Ahn Yoo-sung, the teacher commented, "But the broth is a bit salty, maybe because it has reduced," which brought laughter. The teacher, who was a hotel sous-chef, reminisced, "Back then, getting into a hotel was like picking stars from the sky," and mentioned that many politicians like Chairman Park Yong-gon and Kim Ji-mi often visited. He also shared that even 30 years ago, he was earning a salary of 1.8 million won, saying, "I received a scout offer. They proposed a luxury sedan, a signing bonus of 40 million won, and a monthly salary of 2.9 million won."
Ahn Yoo-sung said, "I was the type to follow only the best teachers. I went for an interview right away," explaining how their relationship began. He added, "My teacher taught me how to make eel sushi, and there were many customers who only asked for eel sushi. I charged 100,000 won for 10 pieces, and customers kept asking for just that," revealing that he learned the secret to making eel sushi from his teacher.
