When Kim Woo-bin and Suzy come together, it's different. Kim Woo-bin and Suzy are set to appear in Kim Eun-sook's fantasy romance ‘All Will Be Fulfilled’ for the Chuseok home theater.

On the afternoon of the 29th, a production presentation for the Netflix series ‘All Will Be Fulfilled’ was held at the Chosun Palace Hotel in Seoul. Actors Kim Woo-bin, Suzy, Ahn Eun-jin, Noh Sang-hyun, Ko Gyu-pil, and Lee Joo-young attended.

‘All Will Be Fulfilled’ is a romantic comedy about a genie from a lamp who awakens after a thousand years and meets an emotionally detached human named Ga-young, engaging in a stress-free, life-and-death romantic comedy over three wishes.

The script is written by Kim Eun-sook, who has produced hit dramas such as ‘Secret Garden’, ‘Mr. Sunshine’, ‘Goblin’, ‘Descendants of the Sun’, and ‘The Glory’. The reunion of Kim Woo-bin and Suzy, who last appeared together in the KBS2 drama ‘Uncontrollably Fond’ in 2016, raises expectations.

‘Romantic Comedy King’ Kim Woo-bin plays the genie from the lamp, while ‘Romantic Comedy Goddess’ Suzy transforms into the strange and beautiful new owner of the lamp, Ga-young.

Kim Woo-bin introduced the series by saying, “Our ‘All Will Be Fulfilled’ poses fresh questions using the familiar motif of a magic lamp. Through three wishes, it explores human nature and desires, the meaning of love and friendship, and what distinguishes good from evil.”

When asked about his reason for participating, he said, “The power of the script was too strong for me. I loved this writing so much that I didn’t want to let go of each scene while filming. I wanted to create the world that the writer had made well,” adding, “The writer gave me shining lines, and I thought about how to bring them to life.”

Suzy stated, “When I read the script, it felt fresh and new. It was so much fun. My character has antisocial personality disorder and is emotionally detached, which I found very attractive, and that’s why I decided to take the role.”

She continued about her character, “Ga-young was born differently from others and is labeled as having antisocial personality disorder and is emotionally detached. She is a psychopath who lives a life of rote learning through the love and teachings of her grandmother and the villagers. In other works, psychopaths are often seen as scary and committing crimes, but Ga-young lives by rules and routines, ultimately leading to a more correct way of living as a psychopath,” sparking curiosity.

The actors unanimously praised Kim Eun-sook's script.

Ahn Eun-jin said, “I read the script very enjoyably. The most fun part was that the story of angels and genies we know is intertwined with the real world, making it feel interesting.” Noh Sang-hyun explained, “The material is original, and I found it very enjoyable to read. The character I play is both an angel and a human, which is an interesting feature. I really wanted to try it.”

Ko Gyu-pil shared, “I wanted to work with Kim Eun-sook, and I was honored to be invited. I am a jaguar. I transform. The role is very good. I need to stop playing animals, but as a jaguar, the character is fun and attractive, so I took it on.”

Lee Joo-young hinted, “I usually play strong roles, but compared to the characters I’ve played, this one has more humanity, so I thought it would be fun. The story is very rich, and I don’t know where it will go.”

The romantic chemistry between Kim Woo-bin and Suzy, who reunite after nine years, is also a point of anticipation.

Suzy mentioned, “I always felt guilty towards Woo-bin oppa. When acting, you need to breathe and react to your partner, but Ga-young perceives what the other person says in her own way, so there’s no nodding or interjections,” adding, “There were many scenes where oppa was doing a one-man show. As emotions deepen, Suzy feels emotions, but I tried to restrain my muscles and emotions.”

When asked about her feelings reuniting with him since ‘Uncontrollably Fond’, Suzy said, “I didn’t realize how much time had passed, and meeting Woo-bin oppa in a completely new work and character was so enjoyable that I forgot the bittersweet feelings from back then. I was happy,” and added, “I felt that our chemistry was better than before. Although there are no emotions, since it’s a romantic comedy, we needed that back-and-forth. In that regard, it was smooth and comfortable. He is still very considerate, and I was happy while filming.”

Kim Woo-bin responded, “It feels like we met about three years ago. It felt close as if we had met recently, and our personalities are not very different. So, there was no need for time to get close on set; I really enjoyed talking about the work and characters. Time spent with Suzy is always happy. She makes those around her happy. Thanks to her, I had a great time filming. She acts so well that I was in awe every time we filmed,” creating a warm atmosphere.

‘All Will Be Fulfilled’ will be released on October 3.
