YouTuber Ziyang (Park Jung-won) has urged caution regarding impersonation scams.
On the 19th, Ziyang announced on his YouTube channel community, "Recently, there have been several malicious attempts to fraudulently obtain money by impersonating me or members of the filming team, resulting in cases of damage."
He continued, "The main method of impersonation involves contacting restaurants while pretending to be the 'Ziyang filming team' and requesting them to prepare expensive wines like 'Sato Mago' under the pretext of needing them for filming, claiming it is an account from a liquor company that Ziyang usually deals with, and demanding that the payment for the wine be made in advance."
Ziyang emphasized, "Neither I nor the filming team will ever conduct business or request money in the following manner," and added, "We never force the purchase of specific items (especially expensive liquor) related to filming or demand advance payment to a specific account."
He further stated, "Our company is currently thoroughly reviewing all reports and collected evidence (call recordings, text messages, sender numbers, etc.)," and added, "We intend to take the strongest legal action against the impersonation scammers without leniency through our legal representative."
