Director Yeon Sang-ho's 'Face' continues to hold the box office throne, while 'Demon Slayer: Mugen Train' has easily surpassed 4.7 million viewers.
According to the integrated computer network of the Korean Film Council on the 21st, 'Face' attracted 113,138 viewers the previous day, bringing its total audience count to 632,171.
The film, which has been praised for its return to the "original universe," tells the story of 'Im Young-kyu,' who has become a master craftsman in the field of sculpture, and his son 'Im Dong-hwan,' as they uncover the mystery surrounding the death of their mother, buried for 40 years. Park Jung-min, Kwon Hae-hyo, Shin Hyun-bin, Lim Sung-jae, and Han Ji-hyun deliver outstanding performances.
In 2nd place, 'Demon Slayer: Mugen Train' (directed by Sotozaki Haruo) attracted 94,630 viewers on the same day, bringing its cumulative audience count to 4,723,023.
3rd place went to 'Princess Mononoke,' which drew about 21,000 viewers, while 4th place was taken by 'Detective Conan: The Residue from 17 Years Ago,' chosen by about 17,000 viewers.
As of 8 AM on that day, the real-time reservation rate was led by 'Can't Help It,' with a reservation rate of 48.8% and approximately 290,000 tickets sold. Following it were 'Chainsaw Man: The Reze Arc,' 'Demon Slayer: Mugen Train,' and 'Face.'
