Actor Rowoon, who is about to enlist in the military, passionately promoted his new work ‘Takryu’ by shouting “Please watch it!”
On the second day of the 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), on the 18th, an outdoor stage greeting for the movie ‘Takryu’ took place at the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae-gu. The event was attended by actors Rowoon, Shin Ye-eun, Park Seo-ham, Park Ji-hwan, Choi Gwi-hwa, and director Choo Chang-min.
Amid the cheers of the audience, Rowoon took the stage and began by saying, “I played a character whose name should not be mentioned,” and then introduced the film by saying, “It’s a story of commoners, a human story, not the mainstream, ordinary tales usually told in historical dramas. It has a unique charm that feels realistic.”
He then shouted “Please watch it!” once again, receiving applause. Director Choo Chang-min remarked, “If you watch our work, you will see how beautiful Shin Ye-eun’s bare face is and how great Rowoon’s upper body looks,” and added, “Please look forward to the charm and ensemble of these wonderful actors.”
Park Ji-hwan also said, “I’m the side dish,” and added, “You can experience the enchanting charm of the universe's great star Rowoon. Please watch the performances of these amazing actors,” bringing warmth to the atmosphere.
Disney+'s first original historical drama ‘Takryu’ is an action drama about the fate of those who dreamed differently to turn the chaotic world surrounding the Gyeonggang, where all the money and resources of Joseon gather, upside down and live like humans. Directed by Choo Chang-min, who attracted ten million viewers with ‘Masquerade’ in 2012, and written by Cheon Seong-il, who presents a historical drama series for the first time in 14 years since ‘Chuno’, this work has been highly anticipated even before its release.
Starting from the 26th, the first three episodes will be released sequentially with two episodes each week, totaling nine episodes.
