Actor Kim Woo-bin's good deed of paying for a fan's meal has been revealed.
On the 14th, a fan of Kim Woo-bin shared their experience after attending a fan signing event on social media.
The writer stated, "There have been many touching stories over the more than 10 years I've been following Woo-bin, but today is overwhelmingly emotional. I was at a loss for words during the signing event and mentioned that I was planning to have dinner with other fans I’ve become close with."
They continued, "At the restaurant we went to for dinner, the chef said, 'Kim Woo-bin came earlier and paid the bill.' They added, 'Is it common for celebrities to come in person to pay? He paid for the most expensive course instead of the originally reserved course meal.'"
The writer also added, "Would you believe I ate lobster and steak with tears mixed in? I've received enough love from Woo-bin until now, but this surprise emotional event is rare, so I decided to share it after much thought."
Known as a manufacturer of good deeds, Kim Woo-bin started donating anonymously in 2014 to help low-income youth and has been consistently supporting pediatric cancer patients through Seoul Asan Medical Center for 11 years, as well as helping marginalized groups. He also participated in donations during the COVID-19 pandemic, wildfires, and flood damage. Kim Woo-bin's total donations are reported to exceed 1.1 billion won.
Additionally, after overcoming nasopharyngeal cancer, Kim Woo-bin recently showed warmth by taking care of actor Jin Tae-hyun, who is battling thyroid cancer, even though they had never met before.
Kim Woo-bin will appear as a genie in the Netflix series "Everything Will Be Okay," which will be released on October 3. "Everything Will Be Okay" is a stress-free, fantasy romantic comedy about a genie from a lamp who awakens after over a thousand years and meets a human named Ga-young, who lacks emotions, to grant three wishes.
