Singer Cho Yong-pil captivated 18,000 audience members at Gocheok Dome with an uninterrupted performance lasting 150 minutes.

On September 6, the performance titled ‘80th Anniversary of Liberation KBS Grand Project: This Moment Forever - Cho Yong-pil’ was held at Gocheok Dome in Seoul.

Prior to this, ‘This Moment Forever - Cho Yong-pil’ garnered significant attention as it marked the first solo stage by the legendary Cho Yong-pil, who spans all generations in South Korea, in 28 years since the KBS 'Big Show' in 1997. Both the first and second ticket sales sold out in just 3 minutes, confirming the excitement for the long-awaited king of singers, Cho Yong-pil.

‘This Moment Forever - Cho Yong-pil’ showcased a unique lineup that satisfied all generations, from the middle-aged to the youth, over a lengthy 150 minutes.

Cho Yong-pil is a distinguished national singer with numerous legendary songs that have been loved for decades, including being the first in Korea to achieve a million-seller with a single album, surpassing 10 million total album sales, winning the Golden Disk Award in Japan as the first Korean, selling out all seats at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium concert, and having the most songs included in music textbooks among domestic pop singers.

‘This Moment Forever - Cho Yong-pil’ featured songs that evoked deep nostalgia for the middle-aged audience, such as ‘Come Back to Busan Port,’ life songs for the middle-aged like ‘My Friend,’ ‘Song of the Wind,’ and youth favorites like ‘Eye of the Sun’ and ‘Bounce,’ creating a stage lineup that transcended generations, allowing couples, mothers and daughters, friends, and families to unite in song and explode with excitement.

The production team expressed their gratitude, stating, “We sincerely thank the 18,000 audience members who came together to genuinely enjoy the performance despite the rain. It was a day where everyone united as one with the king of singers, Cho Yong-pil. We will capture the energy of the event and present it in the broadcast. Please look forward to it.”

‘This Moment Forever - Cho Yong-pil’ will be broadcast on KBS2 on October 6.
