It seems that a rift has developed between singer MC Mong and Lee Seung Gi. While the specifics of their personal issues are unclear, the words exchanged between them were sharp and hostile.

On the 4th, MC Mong revealed an uncomfortable relationship by engaging in a verbal spat with Lee Seung Gi's wife, actress Lee Da In, on social media. The conflict began when MC Mong posted a photo of the couple, which prompted Lee Da In to express her displeasure.

Initially, MC Mong shared a photo of them smiling together without any particular comment, conveying a warm atmosphere. However, it seems there were underlying issues unknown to outsiders. Lee Da In publicly targeted MC Mong, saying, “What’s the reason for posting a photo from over a year ago and making a fuss about it now? I really can’t understand.”

Her somewhat direct expression drew attention, and MC Mong responded, “Get involved! Whether I post a photo from a year ago or one I liked, would you do something like abandon your family before you become more hated?” signaling the start of a serious conflict.

The reason their conflict is drawing attention is that Lee Da In is Lee Seung Gi's wife. The pointed remarks seem to deny the close friendship between MC Mong and Lee Seung Gi, creating an unsettling atmosphere.

In particular, MC Mong's comments directed at Lee Da In highlighted Lee Seung Gi's declaration to “cut ties with his in-laws” due to repeated illegal activities by his father-in-law, adding to the seriousness of the situation.

This suggests that the background behind MC Mong posting the photo was rooted in a deepening conflict between the two sides.

MC Mong and Lee Seung Gi became friends after appearing together on KBS2's ‘1 Night 2 Days’, which was a popular variety show from 2007 to 2010.

The two have showcased a unique chemistry as the youngest members of the cast and have maintained a good relationship for nearly 20 years.

After MC Mong halted his activities due to military evasion controversies, he established One Hundred Label with Chairman Cha Ga Won and recruited Lee Seung Gi, and their relationship seemed unaffected. In February of this year, MC Mong even stated that he decided to engage in charitable acts based on Lee Seung Gi's advice, donating 100 million won to underprivileged children and youth.

Currently, MC Mong has stepped back from operating One Hundred Label. The official reason for his departure has not been disclosed, but there are speculations that it may be related to the personal controversy surrounding The Boyz member Ju Haknyeon.

In the midst of this, he revealed, “I suffered from extreme depression and health deterioration due to a surgery, making it difficult to continue making music,” and stated, “I decided to study abroad to choose a way to make music for a longer time, for my health and personal development.”

While it is unclear what specifically caused the rift between MC Mong and Lee Seung Gi, it is evident that there are various uncomfortable signs surrounding the situation with their respective agencies.
