Actress Han Ga-in recalled her experiences during her miscarriages.
On the 4th, a video titled 'Han Ga-in, who has experienced three miscarriages, shares the secret to conceiving a son and daughter through IVF in one go? (+ Plans for a third child)' was posted on the YouTube channel 'Free Woman Han Ga-in'.
On that day, Han Ga-in visited the obstetrician who helped her conceive her daughter and son through IVF. She explained, "If I had to name the person I am most grateful for in my life, it would be the first person that comes to mind."
Han Ga-in said, "At first, I didn't think about having children, but once I decided I wanted to have a child, I got pregnant right away. It happened within two to three months. I was so naive back then that I thought, 'If I see two lines on the pregnancy test, I become a mom right away.' My husband and I were as happy as in a drama."
She continued, "At five weeks pregnant, I went to a natural childbirth hospital, and when I mentioned 'there's some bleeding,' the doctor was very surprised and said, 'It seems like there might be a risk of miscarriage.' It was around Tuesday, and the doctor did an ultrasound and said, 'I don't think you'll make it to Saturday.' When Saturday morning came, there was indeed bleeding. I went to the hospital and was diagnosed with a missed miscarriage. They said they would check to find out why it happened, and it turned out there was a genetic defect."
Han Ga-in revealed, "At that time, I had three miscarriages in the same gestational week, at the same time, with the same symptoms within a year. From that point on, my mental state really collapsed."
She added, "Up to two miscarriages, I thought, 'That can happen,' and 'Bad things can happen to me too.' But when I had three miscarriages in one year due to the same cause, I thought I was mentally strong, but I don't think I've ever gone through such a difficult time in my life."
