A wave of mourning and tributes is pouring in for the late Daedoseogwan (real name Na Dong-hyun), who suddenly passed away.

According to the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul on the 6th, Daedoseogwan was found dead at his home at 8:40 AM that day. The police and fire department were dispatched after a friend reported that they could not reach him, and it was reported that there were no signs of foul play or a suicide note at the scene.

The police are currently investigating the exact cause of death.

Upon hearing the news, comedian Kim Dae-bum expressed his shock and sorrow on his Instagram on the 6th, stating, “It’s so shocking and disappointing,” and recalled, “(Daedoseogwan) was a very kind and polite person, the best YouTuber in South Korea.”

He continued, “He was a truly wonderful person who helped beginner YouTubers,” and expressed gratitude, saying, “Many comedians received his help when starting on YouTube.”

He lamented, “Why did the healthy and bright Daedoseogwan have to go to heaven so soon? It’s too early.”

Fellow YouTuber Gomong also posted a photo with Daedoseogwan on his account, leaving a message of tribute, “I pray for the repose of Daedoseogwan’s soul.”

Gomong explained his connection with Daedoseogwan, saying, “He was a source of strength during lonely times, and it was Daedoseogwan who helped me start my life-changing journey on YouTube.”

He reminisced, “When I collapsed, he gave me long health management advice and always took me to movie premieres when good films came out. He was always full of energy and confidence, the big brother of YouTubers.”

Gomong also expressed his sorrow, saying, “It feels too early for the brother who said he would grow old with the viewers. He once said that live streaming was really physically demanding and that he didn’t have time, but it happened so suddenly.”

Having been active since the early 2000s and boasting 1.44 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, tributes from fans and the public who spent time with him continued to pour in.

Fans commented, “I saw him doing a live broadcast not long ago, I can’t believe it,” “What is really happening?” “I grew up watching Daedoseogwan’s content since childhood, I’m really sad,” “Thank you for bringing joy,” and “May you rest in peace,” expressing their condolences.
