Actress Lee Min-jung has come under fire for taking a photo holding a luxury bag in front of a Jesus statue.
Recently, Lee Min-jung traveled to Venice with her husband Lee Byung-hun, who is the lead actor in the film 'There’s No Way', invited to the competition section of the 81st Venice International Film Festival.
While she shared updates on social media about enjoying sightseeing with Son Ye-jin, another lead actor in the film, a photo taken at a church sparked controversy.
In the photo taken by Son Ye-jin, Lee Min-jung poses in front of the church altar, holding her luxury bag prominently against the backdrop of the crucifix of Jesus.

Netizens pointed out that taking a photo that seems to promote a luxury bag in a sacred place is disrespectful.
Comments from netizens included, “This photo is a huge shock and hurt to Catholic believers,” “Advertising a bag in front of the cross... it's shameful as a Korean, regardless of religion,” “That place is sacred,” and “It's rude. You should be ashamed.”
Meanwhile, Park Chan-wook's film 'There’s No Way', invited to the competition section of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, received a perfect score of 100 points in reviews from seven media outlets after its official screening at the festival on the 29th of last month. The film is also highly anticipated to win the festival's top prize, the Golden Lion.
The story revolves around a company employee, Man-soo (played by Lee Byung-hun), who felt satisfied with his life until he suddenly gets fired. To protect his wife and two children and to keep the house he worked hard to acquire, he prepares for his own war towards re-employment.
