Singer Hwang Garam shared his recent updates after his hit song ‘I Am a Firefly’.
Hwang Garam appeared on MBC Standard FM’s ‘Women’s Era with Yang Hee-eun and Kim Il-jung’ broadcast on the 14th.
On that day, Hwang Garam revealed, “My song is really playing a lot on the streets, but people still don’t know my face,” and happily added, “I heard my song playing at a butcher shop, so I went in and bought some meat. They gave me more meat when I said it was my song.”
Hwang Garam performed a live stage of ‘I Am a Firefly’. With his unique husky voice and deep emotions, he surprised everyone. Harim praised, “It’s heavy,” and listeners showered him with compliments in real-time chat.
After finishing the stage, Hwang Garam said, “Thank you. This song really reflects my situation, so I sang it a lot.” He reminisced, “I came to Seoul to pursue music and even lived on the streets. Two years ago, my agency representative saw my busking video and suggested we sign a contract.”
Hwang Garam expressed his gratitude to his agency representative, saying, “I asked him if he was crazy, but he said he was confident, and I shed tears.”
