Singer Psy has apologized regarding the proxy receipt of sleeping pills.

Psy's agency, P Nation, stated on the 28th, "The proxy receipt of sleeping pills, which are prescription medications, is a clear mistake and oversight," and added, "We are sorry."

P Nation explained, "Psy has been diagnosed with chronic sleep disorders and is taking sleeping pills as prescribed by medical professionals," and "The use of sleeping pills has been under the guidance of medical professionals, and there has been no proxy prescription."

P Nation also mentioned, "There have been instances where a third party received the sleeping pills on his behalf," and "An investigation is currently underway by the police."

According to previous reports, the Seoul Seodaemun Police Station is investigating Psy and Professor A from a university hospital who prescribed him medication for violations of the Medical Law. It is reported that Psy is suspected of receiving prescriptions for psychotropic drugs from a university hospital in Seoul without in-person consultations from 2022 until recently, and that he received them through his manager.
