Singer Onion has become a family with HYNN (Park Hye-won).
The agency New Order Entertainment announced on the 29th, "We have recently signed a management contract with Onion," and added, "We feel great excitement to be part of Onion's musical journey. We will be a strong support by her side so that her voice, which will resonate again after a long wait, can reach further and deeper."
Onion made a dazzling debut in the music industry in 1997 with her debut song "Love of a Rookie," instantly creating a syndrome among high school student singers. Since then, she has released numerous hit songs such as "I Want to Know!", "A'D DIO", "I Know Everything", and "Love... What is it?" establishing herself as one of South Korea's top vocalists.
Having successfully transformed by challenging the musical stage, Onion recently appeared on MBC's "King of Masked Singer" as "Antique Mirror," making her long-awaited return to the stage. She proved her enduring vocal power and singing ability by achieving five consecutive wins as the reigning champion. Additionally, she participated in the cover video of the Netflix animation "K-Pop Demon Hunters" OST "Golden," receiving a warm response and strongly marking the return of the "legendary vocalist."
HYNN (Park Hye-won), a singer under New Order Entertainment, has consistently cited Onion as her role model since her debut. She formed a special bond with Onion when she featured on the track "Sweet Love" from her first full-length album. With this contract, the two will continue to deepen their musical connection under the same agency.
Onion expressed her feelings through her agency, saying, "I am grateful to meet a new nest that will wholeheartedly support me," and added, "I cautiously take a new step for the fans who have waited a long time and for myself, who wants to sincerely engage in music again. I ask for your support."
Onion is set to release Part 1 of her regular album in October and will meet fans through a nationwide tour starting in November.
