It has been reported that the director of the agency, who was sentenced to prison for damaging the black box memory card in the drunk driving hit-and-run case involving singer Kim Ho-joong, has recently been released on parole.

On the 19th, Ilgan Sports reported that Jeon, the director of Think Entertainment, who was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison for evidence destruction, was released on parole on the 14th.

Parole is an administrative measure that allows a prisoner who has completed more than one-third of their sentence to be released early if they are deemed to have been sufficiently rehabilitated, under certain conditions. Even after being paroled, the individual must undergo a period of probation, and if they violate any conditions during this time, the parole can be revoked.

Kim Ho-joong was arrested and indicted for driving under the influence on May 9 of last year, crossing the center line and colliding with a taxi on the opposite side of the road, then fleeing the scene and instructing his manager to turn himself in on his behalf.

Kim Ho-joong was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison in both the first and second trials. He later appealed the verdict, but in May, he expressed his intention to withdraw the appeal, resulting in the confirmation of the 2 years and 6 months sentence.

The agency's representative, Lee, and director Jeon, who were also indicted for instructing manager Jang to falsely turn himself in to cover up the accident, received sentences of 2 years and 1 year and 6 months in prison, respectively, while manager Jang was sentenced to 1 year in prison with a 2-year probation.
