Gao Zhiqi, the ex-husband of actress Chae-rim, visited Korea to celebrate his son's birthday and spent a joyful time together.
On the 1st, Gao Zhiqi posted several photos along with the message, "Happy New Year! Let's move forward together."
The released photos appear to capture the happy father-son duo during his visit to Korea last December for Min-woo's birthday.
Chae-rim revealed on a broadcast that this was the first time she and her son reunited with her ex-husband since their divorce in April. She said, "Min-woo said he missed his dad, so I reached out first to make it happen," adding, "Since then, we have been frequently exchanging photos, videos, and voice messages with his dad."
Chae-rim stated, "Min-woo is my top priority, so I can temporarily set aside any pain or forget about it for a while," and added, "For me, the relationship is over, but for the child, a dad is a relationship that cannot end." She also mentioned, "When we separated, he thanked me for raising Min-woo so beautifully."
Chae-rim met Chinese actor Gao Zhiqi through the Chinese CCTV drama "The Yi Family" and got married in 2014, welcoming their son in December 2017. They divorced in 2020, and she has been living in Korea with her son since then.
