Broadcaster Jo Hye-ryun has clarified malicious rumors.
On the 12th, Jo Hye-ryun and Lee Kyung-sil appeared on the YouTube channel ‘Rolling Thunder’ in the segment ‘New Women’.
In the video, Jo Hye-ryun stated, “There were rumors that I am a madam. They were saying I am someone who oversees prostitution, it was outrageous.”
In response, Lee Kyung-sil expressed surprise, saying, “I’m hearing this for the first time, did you make it up?” and Jo Hye-ryun replied, “No. I am really dumbfounded,” adding, “They said I connect people and receive a commission. It’s ridiculous. So someone even said, ‘Jo Hye-ryun would never do that’ to defend me.”
Jo Hye-ryun also directed her comments at those spreading the rumors, saying, “I am not a madam,” and emphasized, “I am a goalkeeper.”
In response, Lee Kyung-sil praised her, saying, “The Hye-ryun I know is so dedicated to her work that she has no interest in others. I have never seen her speak ill of anyone.” To this, Jo Hye-ryun joked, “I only don’t do it in front of you. When you’re not around, I do it all,” making the scene burst into laughter.
Jo Hye-ryun is currently active as a goalkeeper in the SBS entertainment show ‘Goal Diggers’.
