Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryeon shared the bitter experiences of their lives due to rumors in a cheerful manner.

On the 12th, Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryeon discussed the themes of downfall and paradise on the YouTube show ‘New Women’. Lee Kyung-sil recalled the most difficult time in her life, mentioning her divorce. She revealed, “At the age of thirty-eight, I thought my life was over. It felt like everything was collapsing.”

What made it even harder for Lee Kyung-sil was the rumors that circulated after her divorce. She said, “After the divorce, rumors started circulating that didn’t even exist during my marriage. They said I was involved with the entertainment company’s CEO and that I was buying luxury goods with a corporate card given by him,” adding, “I once broke down in tears when a reporter tried to verify the facts, saying, ‘I never even received a points card from my ex-husband.’” Lee Kyung-sil humorously remarked, “Still, I’m grateful that they linked me with rich people,” and added a sharp comment, “You should take care of yourself.”

The rumors revealed by Jo Hye-ryeon were even more shocking. She stated, “There were rumors that I was a madam,” and added, “A friend of mine heard that and went around clarifying, ‘She’s definitely not that kind of person.’” Jo Hye-ryeon shared, “When I faced tough times, I overcame them by studying languages or pouring my energy into something else,” laughing coolly. Lee Kyung-sil also added, “Jo Hye-ryeon lives her life so busily that she doesn’t pay much attention to what others say.”

Jo Hye-ryeon also candidly talked about the humiliations she faced when she moved to Japan during her prime to start anew as a newcomer, and the sense of disillusionment she felt after achieving her dream of acting in serious roles. In particular, she openly confessed her regret about leaving ‘Muhan Dojeon,’ the predecessor of ‘Infinite Challenge.’

Lee Kyung-sil stated, “When facing difficult situations, you shouldn’t just keep looking back at the past. It’s true that if you endure such hardships, good things will come,” and added, “I want to praise myself for overcoming tough times without going astray.” Jo Hye-ryeon expressed her gratitude, saying, “I’m thankful to my parents for allowing me to be someone who can bring smiles to others.”
