Actress Lee Min-jung has made a public apology related to her husband, actor Lee Byung-hun.
On the 7th, a video titled “[Emergency Broadcast] Lee Min-jung's Public Apology Live” was posted on her YouTube channel ‘Lee Min-jung MJ’.
Previously, when launching her YouTube channel, Lee Min-jung set a promise to feature her husband Lee Byung-hun and director Park Chan-wook if she reached 500,000 subscribers.
As a result, Lee Byung-hun has been blurred out every time he appears on Lee Min-jung's YouTube.
During a live broadcast in July, Lee Min-jung showed a troubled expression in response to a fan's comment that said, “Actor Lee Byung-hun came to the fan club birthday party recently and was worried that if the subscriber count doesn’t exceed 500,000 by the time of the promotion for ‘I Can't Help It’, he would have to cover his face.”
Lee Min-jung expressed, “We are all worried. I don’t know exactly how many subscribers we have right now, but the movie is set to be released in two months,” and added, “The promotional video needs to be released on September 16, and because of this, I have nightmares even while sleeping. In my dreams, there’s always a blur.”

She continued, “I need to promote the movie, but it’s embarrassing for the movie promotion team that my brother (Lee Byung-hun) is blurred out, and I feel very sorry for his fans as well,” and said, “I was so stressed about what to do, but my husband said, ‘It doesn’t make sense to go back on what you said. You can’t just blur me out and then suddenly show my face for promotion.’”
She added, “Brother Shin Dong-yeob also came and told me, ‘Don’t be so anxious. That’s the charm of YouTube. You have to keep your word.’”
Lee Min-jung expressed regret for her previous statements, saying, “I was wrong,” and expressed her desire to overcome the embarrassing situation by saying, “Please spread the word and subscribe.”
In particular, she earnestly requested, “It has to reach 500,000 by mid-September.”
Meanwhile, the movie ‘I Can't Help It’, featuring Lee Byung-hun, is set to be released in September. Directed by Park Chan-wook, ‘I Can't Help It’ has received an invitation to compete at the Venice Film Festival, garnering significant attention both domestically and internationally even before its release.
