Following the news of As One's Lee Min's passing, member Crystal, who resides in the U.S., is returning home.
On the 6th, an As One representative told Maeil Business Star Today, “We received word that Crystal is departing from the U.S., and she is expected to arrive as early as tomorrow.”
Lee Min and Crystal formed the female R&B duo As One in 1999, debuting with “Day by Day” and gaining much love with hit songs like “I Hope You Don’t Know” and “I Want and I Regret.”
In particular, As One released a new song “Congratulations, Happy Birthday” in June, and in May, they appeared together on KBS2’s “The Seasons - Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile,” marking their return to the music broadcast stage after six years.
Crystal, who has been a long-time member and close friend, is reported to be unable to hide her shock and sorrow upon hearing the news.
Meanwhile, the agency Brand New Music stated, “We are heartbroken to convey the unfortunate news of the deceased,” and urged, “As a police investigation is ongoing, please refrain from unverified speculation.”
