
It is the 11th anniversary of the death of singer and actress the late Yoo Chae-young.
Yoo Chae-young passed away at the age of 41 on July 24, 2014, after battling stomach cancer.
Diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer in October 2013, Yoo Chae-young continued to work as a DJ on MBC Standard FM's "Good Weekend with Kim Kyung-sik and Yoo Chae-young," sharing her bright energy even while undergoing chemotherapy.
In a letter left in May, her husband, who still expresses his longing for her in the fan cafe, wrote, "I'm so sorry for the way I'm changing in front of you."
Fans also reminisced about her in the fan cafe, leaving comments such as "Always remembering you," "I hope you sing freely and stay healthy in heaven," and "Are you doing well up there?"
Yoo Chae-young debuted in the music industry in 1989 as part of the group PunSooDeul and later became a member of the mixed group Cool in 1994.
After her time with Earth, Yoo Chae-young transformed into a solo artist in 1999, receiving much love with hits like "Emotion" and "Goodbye Love."
With her cheerful and bright energy, she also thrived as a "versatile entertainer" on various entertainment programs, showcasing her acting skills in films like "Sex is Zero" and dramas such as "The Prince's First Love," "Marrying a Millionaire," "Chuno," and "Fashion King."
In 2008, she married a businessman who is a year younger and a friend of ten years.
