Singer Baek Gi-sung is deeply immersed in the trending character doll Labubu.
On the 24th, Baek Gi-sung posted a photo of four boxes containing Labubu dolls on his SNS, saying, "I haven't unboxed it yet. I'm nervous."
Labubu is a character doll from the Chinese toy company Pop Mart. It was designed by Hong Kong-born, Netherlands-based art toy artist Long Ka-sing, featuring long ears like a rabbit, large eyes, and a big mouth with nine sharp teeth.
Recently, the popularity of Labubu has spread beyond China to Asia, North America, Europe, and the Middle East, as it has been spotted being used by famous celebrities like BLACKPINK's Lisa and pop star Rihanna on social media.
Baek Gi-sung expressed his concern about counterfeit products, saying, "I bought it through an Instagram group buy, and it arrived in almost 20 days. I was nervous it wouldn't come for 20 days. I was worried because I heard some of them have flipped soles, thinking it might be fake."
He added, "I'll cautiously try to unbox it. Can I unbox you today? The most nerve-wracking part is that a Labubu without one eye might come out. That's what I'm most nervous about. I hope it's genuine."
